If you’ve ever wanted to speak Droid, or Wookie, or wanted to learn how to draw a Star Wars character, then you are in for a treat!

JAKe is a top UK artist and illustrator, known the world over for his unique take on the Star Wars universe. First approached in 1997 by LucasFilm to design a range of Teeshirts, JAKe was soon in demand, producing the artwork for a huge range of Star Wars merchandise, and quickly established himself as a fan favorite at conventions the world over.

In 2011 he was asked to write and illustrate How to Speak Wookie (the book came with a “Wookie Translator”) and very soon afterwards, a follow up book “How to Speak Droid” also became a best seller.

Not content with illustrating the Star Wars universe of characters for books and merchandise, JAKe also runs children’s drawing workshops at events, regularly pulling unsuspecting fans out of the audience and onto the stage to prove that anyone can draw a Star Wars character.

Away from Star Wars, JAKe is also famous for his work illustrating for The Mighty Boosh (a surreal British comedy series) and created and illustrated Geek Boy, the series of animated shorts for the Sci-Fi Channel.

He has also illustrated Doctor Who for the Titan range of Graphic novels and he is the creative force behind the reboot of the classic SciFi series Terrahawks- known in animated form as Kate Kestrel and The Terrahawks.
